Wow, you are asking me to go back fifty years. They went by so fast that I hardly know what happened during all that time. I remember picking up my diploma in June and heading off to the University of Vermont in the fall of 1954. I became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority that fall. The four years were great, got through chemistry and all the rest. I am sure that the base I got in the Mamaroneck school system was a major factor in the BS degree I carried away from Vermont.

I also found my husband there. Fred has been my best friend for forty-five years. We moved about from time to time in the early years, had three children, two boys and then a girl. The moves took us south ending in Greenville, South Carolina in 1972. There we stayed, got our kids through school then went on a twelve year vacation in Hilton Head. Fred continued to work but I had it "good". Now we are back in the upstate of South Carolina, near our children and seven grandchildren. It was time to be closer to them and to Fred's business. We are enjoying a more active social life with old friends who also have more time on their hands.

Through the years I was lucky to be a full time Mom. Had the station wagon, drove all three plus more to swim practice each day. One son, Dwight, still swims in a masters program, has two girls, Megan and Erin that compete in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Our other son, Porter, coaches in the soccer league that his son Ian and daughter, Mackenzie are in. Both sons are married to sisters, Jyllel and Jenifer, and both live on Lake Norman, the beautiful lake on I-77 north of Charlotte.

Our daughter, Karen, lives near by in Greenville with her family. She has three in middle school that keep her busy. Her husband is the only true southerner in the family. We lovingly call Tom our "resident redneck". Tom and their son, Bo, go hunting from Canada to Mexico and of course here in South Carolina. They also have two beautiful young ladies. Kim plays softball and Kristin is on the school volleyball team.

Life is active. On Hilton Head we enjoyed our walks on the beach and now we head to the mountains. There is much to do with parks and trails in the immediate area. Our mini longhaired Dachshund, Heidi, loves to ride in the back of the jeep but gets lazy on the walks. We head north each winter for a bit of snow and a U of Vermont hockey game or two.

My folks moved south to Virginia after they sold the store in Larchmont so we did not get back there very often. I am really looking forward to seeing my classmates at the reunion. It has been too long.
