Edwin (Bucky) Case

Bucky, and Bill Saunders and wives

Of the five in the class of '54 who went to Lafayette from MHS, only Don Hulme and myself actually graduated from there. But it took both of us an extra year (and we are both Dekes).

Right after college (1959), I began a career in marketing research that continues to this day. After working for others (i.e. Bristol-Myers and General Foods) until 1982, I started my own consumer survey firm in White Plains. Over the years, my clients have included Pepsi, Nabisco, and ATT. The Gillette Company is still a client, but I no longer maintain an office or staff.

I was first married while a senior at Lafayette and that ended some 22 years later. Two great kids emerged from this, however. Daughter Leslie went to Cedar Crest College and is now married and living in Seattle. Ned is a Colby grad and lives with his wife in Raleigh. Each has one child: Charlie Sylvetsky and Cassidy Case. I married my lovely Jane in 1988. We met at a singles dance in Stamford.

I spent most of my married life in Darien, Connecticut. But, in 1998, we decided to ditch the high cost, liberal northeast and move to Savannah, GA. Specifically Skidaway Island (The Landings). That was the best move we could have ever made. Savannah is great. We are now enjoying golf, boating (as usual), wood working, and opera (on CD's there ain't no Met in Savannah).
